Joseph graduated with a first - class English and Drama degree from Queen Mary University of London and is a freelance director, writer and drama facilitator. He has previously worked on learning and community projects with Shakespeare’s Globe, The Old V ic and Watford Palace Theatre, and is a member of the National Youth Theatre.
Since 2012, he has directed over 30 productions with young people and community companies. He is Artistic Director of PackPack Theatre Company, which includes directing Oscar Wilde's The Happy Prince for Imagine Watford. He was part of the producing team at the Unicorn Children’s Theatre and manages a Saturday performing arts school in Hertfordshire.
Joseph in a valuable member of our Power of Drama and Reading team and regularly returns to us when he can fit it in around his current role as Head of Drama at a school in North London.

Adrian trained at the Guildford School of Acting and has worked for Wizard Theatre for over 20 years, devising and writing as well as performing. Adrian has worked for a number of children’s theatre companies, including Quantum Theatre for Science. Theatre roles include: ‘Feste’ in TWELTH NIGHT, ‘Jacques’ in AS YOU LIKE IT and ‘Mr Darcy’ in PRIDE & PREDJUDICE. TV credits: SPOOKS, THE BILL and DEAD RINGERS. Adrian was a regular member of the multi award winning open air theatre company Illyria. Since then Ady has gained a first class degree and became a full time teacher, but he still returns to us as our regular fight director for Wizard on shows such as ROBIN HOOD.

Wendy gained a Master’s degree in Applied Theatre from the Royal Central School of Speech and Drama which included a placement in Cape Town, South Africa. Whilst there she devised and delivered drama based workshops in a children's hospital and several schools .
Prior to that she spent several years volunteering and working at local drama clubs in Oxford and becoming an experienced drama facilitator working with young people aged five to seventeen. Wendy also ran a storytelling club at a local primary school where she used games, arts and crafts, music and movement to bring stories to life .
Wendy is the General Manager at The North Wall Arts Centre in Oxford. For Wizard Theatre Wendy has delivered our Power of Drama and Windrush project.

Richard attended Birmingham School of Acting and continued his training at London Method Acting and Meisner International. His credits include ‘Victor Frankenstein’ in Illyria’s musical production of FRANKENSTEIN, ROMY & JULIAN, a modern interpretation of ‘Romeo and Juliet’ for Austrian students with Vienna’s English Theatre, two different runs of part verbatim, part improvised musical comedy TELL ME ABOUT YOUR EX and productions of Shakespeare’s MACBETH, THE MERRY WIVES OF WINDSOR and THE MERCHANT OF VENICE.

Nicholas is a real life wizard and professional magician, and a member of the Magic Circle. He started his magical journey at the age of 3 when he received a magic kit for his birthday. He then joined the YMC (The Young Magician Club) at the Magic Circle. Through that he won J-Day (Junior Day) and also took home the comedy cup.
Nicholas studied at Fourth Monkey and went on to perform in Las Vegas, at the Golden Nugget Hotel & Casino, and was a finalist in the YOUNG MAGICIAN OF THE YEAR. Nick learnt most of his tricks of the trade performing his street shows in Covent Garden.
He has also performed in his own standalone shows including NICHOLAS LEE, IN THE LIBRARY, WITH A WAND; IT'S NOT WHAT IT LOOKS LIKE and IT WASN'T A PHASE.
Nicholas' other stage credits include: PINCH OF PICKLE AND A WHISK OF WISE (Snail Tails), THE REVENGERS TRAGEDY, (Junior), TERRORISM, (Man/Man2) PARTY SKILLS FOR THE END OF THE WORLD, THE ADVENTURES OF DOCTOR DOOLITTLE, PETER PAN, and ROBIN HOOD, Illyria).
Nick has been a facilitator on the POWER OF DRAMA and ON THE RIGHT ROAD programmes for Wizard and toured I LOVE YOU MUM, I PROMISE I WON’T DIE playing Dan’s Dad ‘Tim’.

David trained at The Poor School in London. Since graduating he has toured around the world as ‘Colonel Pickering’ in PYGMALION and ‘Detective Fix’ in AROUND THE WORLD IN 80 DAYS. On home soil he has continued touring in VAMPIRATES, THE THREE MUSKETEERS and OTHELLO. Since 2016 he has worked with Illyria Theatre Company, first in DANNY THE CHAMPION OF THE WORLD and then in THE MERCHANT OF VENICE, THE TEMPEST, THE WIND IN THE WILLOWS and MUCH ADO ABOUT NOTHING.
He returned to the roles of ‘Ratty’ and ‘Badger’ for Wizard in THE WIND IN THE WILLOWS in 2021.
Most recently David has been working in film and TV and was a great VIP in Series 3 of the Netflix blockbuster Squid Game.

Toby’s theatre credits include Whistle Down the Wind (Watermill); The Provoked Wife, Venice Preserved and Bottoms Up (RSC); Shakespeare in Love (Theatre Royal Bath/Eleanor Lloyd); Oedipus (Matchstick Theatre); A Midsummer Night’s Dream and Pride and Prejudice (Illyria); Macbeth (Infinite Jest); Oppenheimer (RSC West End Transfer); Walking the Chains (Show of Strength); London Road (Bristol Old Vic); Romeo and Juliet (New Mutiny Theatre Company) . Toby appeared in the film London Road (National Theatre/Cuba Pictures) and his television credits include Doctors (BBC) and Breaking the Band: Alice Cooper (ITV).
Toby joined Wizard for the first time in 2022 playing lots of royalty along with Friar Tuck and Little John in ROBIN HOOD!

Rosie trained at The Guildford School of Acting in Musical Theatre. Rosie’s credits include A CHRISTMAS CAROL at The Barn Theatre, followed by YOU CAN DO ANYTHING at Brighton Open Air Theatre and BEAUTY AND THE BEAST. Another veteran Illyrian, she has performed in a number of productions, including playing Mabel in PIRATES OF PENZANCE.
Rosie has played Jenna in I LOVE YOU MUM, I PROMISE I WON’T DIE for Wizard.

Rachael trained at the University of Lincoln and then Rose Bruford drama school for an MA in Collaborative Theatre Making.
She has had varied work in film, music videos, commercials and voiceover. She is often found in plays made for young people alongside facilitating drama workshops for them in a variety of settings. Credits include: Aladdin touring for Chaplins, A collier touring for Chorus Theatre in The Black Minute and even as a very cute Laika the space dog ( with a bit of puppetry!).
For Wizard, Rachael is another important member of our Power Of Drama team.

Sophie graduated from the Royal Birmingham Conservatoire (previously known as Birmingham's School of Acting) in 2018 from the Applied Performance (Community & Education) course with First Class honours.
Since then Sophie has been working within the arts and youth work including a role as Outreach Coordinator for Cherwell Theatre Company - a company which she still works with as workshop facilitator and project manager. Sophie is now a Freelance Theatre & Arts Facilitator and has delivered work for company's such as Milton Keynes Theatre, Creation Theatre, OYAP Trust, Libraries Alive, Cherwell Theatre Company, The Theatre Chipping Norton and of course, Wizard Theatre.
Sophie believes the arts should be accessible for everyone and works collaboratively with groups to create safe spaces where they can explore creatively to produce work they are proud of. Sophie joins us as a facilitator on our Power of Drama Programme.
