Leon’s first professional role was at the age of 12 in the film REVOLUTION with Al Pacino, film & tv credits since then include: HARRY POTTER AND THE PRISONER OF AZKABAN, WILDE playing ‘Philip’, NOTTING HILL, EASTENDERS, CHUCKLEVISION, SPOOKS and THE OFFICE. Leon was a regular character on the JOHNNY VAUGHAN SHOW and DICK N DOM IN DA BUNGELOW.
Theatre includes: A MIDSUMMER NIGHT’S DREAM as ‘Bottom’, PETER PAN and ALL MY SON’S at the Palace Theatre, and BILL’S NEW FROCK for Salamander Theatre. Apart from performing and working with children, Leon’s other great love is comedy and he co-wrote and produced BACKGROUND ACTION a comedy short film, RENEGADE AIRWAYS a radio pilot produced by 6 Music’s Iyare, and the sitcom SWEEPSTAKES.
He set up Wizard Theatre when Salamander Theatre sadly closed and having written some of their workshops, was asked if he would continue to tour them. He then moved from a ‘jobbing actor’ to producer a role he thought would last for 8 weeks (the name came around because he was part of the Pre-production on Harry Potter III) and 25 years later he is still doing it.
Although originally from Southend, Essex he lives in Oxfordshire with his wife who runs a drama school with 250 children and his 2 children, 2 Guinea Pigs and considerably more fish.
