The Emperor's New Clothes

Two swindlers spin a yarn, the Emperor allows himself to be taken in, and it isn’t long before everyone is stitched up. Only at the monthly Grand Parade on 1st April is the barefaced-cheek of it all revealed. Hans Christian Anderson’s much loved story about a hapless Emperor and a suit of clothes so fine that only intelligent people can see them is one of the greatest - and funniest - cautionary tales of all time.

Following the success of last year's sell out production of Pinocchio, Wizard Theatre returns with Hans Christian Anderson's much loved classic The Emperor's New Clothes, in association with multi award winning international theatre company Illyria now in their 25th year!!!

Wizard's annual tour has grown from just 2 weeks to over 3 months in only 5 years !!!

Producing high-quality theatre-in-education that engages staff and students is of paramount importance – this mission drives us forward. The cherry on the cake is that when we do such a great job, we receive multiple reviews testifying to that statement.

Every project delivers a different experience to those involved so it rewarding to hear first-hand what our audience took away with them. For some, our projects can be reflective and thought-provoking, for others they can install confidence and ignite passion. Please take a moment to read some reviews from past and present Wizard Theatre clients.
