The Wind In The Willows

“Mole yearns for adventure, Rat adores boats and Badger likes peace and quiet. Into their lives bursts Toad who loves very fast cars and just can’t seem to help getting into trouble. But can the animals reform Toad’s character and evict the squatters from his ancestral home to restore justice to the world?”

Back by popular demand Wizard Theatre presents this production of Kenneth Grahame’s much-loved classic in association with multiple international award-winning open-air theatre company Illyria.

Following the enormous success of our last sell out production Ali Baba & The Forty Thieves, Wizard Theatre returns with The Adventures of Dr Dolittle in association with international award-winning theatre company Illyria.

Wizard Theatre has been performing shows and workshops since 2002. Illyria has performed more shows to a wider area than any other UK open-air touring company. Now in its 29th year!

Producing high-quality theatre-in-education that engages staff and students is of paramount importance – this mission drives us forward. The cherry on the cake is that when we do such a great job, we receive multiple reviews testifying to that statement.

Every project delivers a different experience to those involved so it rewarding to hear first-hand what our audience took away with them. For some, our projects can be reflective and thought-provoking, for others they can install confidence and ignite passion. Please take a moment to read some reviews from past and present Wizard Theatre clients.

That was the best performance I have ever seen!

All Saints, Didcot

There was lots of good discussion, some very mature points raised after the workshop and reflection on how they would behave or act next year at secondary school, they felt more aware of strategies to protect themselves against potential dangers. The session was fantastic, the children were really engaged and enjoyed it.

Barham Primary School

You enchanted the children! Thank you.

Coleham, Shrewsbury

It was fantastic, the children and the adults thoroughly enjoyed it!
